OVERVIEW
The GDH226K Super Long Wheelbase 4WD is as rare as it gets in the HiAce world — and this one has been built out into a genuinely capable long-term camper. Powered by Toyota's current 2.8L 1GD-FTV turbo diesel with a 6-speed automatic, factory 2" lift and full-time 4WD, it'll get you to places most campervans can't reach. At 9.5L/100km combined, it won't punish you for the distance either.
The interior is hand-built with timber cabinetry and ceiling throughout — warm, considered and built to last. The lounge converts to a double bed, there's a stainless sink with extendable shower head plumbed into 35L clean and 25L grey water tanks, and an 80L upright fridge with freezer keeps provisions fresh on extended trips. The Duoetto hot water system heats off the engine while you drive — so you arrive with hot water already waiting. Off-grid power runs through a 300W solar setup, 120Ah AGM battery, 1000W inverter and KickAss 12V control hub with 20A DC-DC charger. This is a van you can disappear in for weeks at a time.
